This strip keeps mentioning towns next door to me. In the past I saw Rehoboth Beach mentioned, and I live the next town over from there. Growing up, I lived in the next town to Paramus.
I really get sick and tired of this, birds eat other birds all the time because they AREN’T THE SAME SPECIES. This would be like accusing a person of cannibalism for eating mammal meat every time they ate a hamburger. Pilsner shouldn’t care about a turkey being eaten any more than we care about cows and pigs.

I would have thought that Moondog would have gargled some bourbon to disguise his turkey breath.

Turkey has no smell, cranberry sauce does.

There are funnier sounding North Jersey towns other than Paramus like Ho-Ho-Kus, Moonache and Teaneck

I don’t see how he can get past the stale beer smell to smell the turkey.

Pilsner’s holier than thou attitude seems to have intimidated Moondog. But at least Moonie was clever enough to fool Pilsner and pass inspection.
Maybe it’s time to consider recipes for roast parakeet, similar to roast squab (pigeon).

Where is Paramos?
