This usually happens to me when I go on Wikipedia. Before I get a chance to type in what I’m looking for, something in Did You Know… catches my eye, and half an hour and 20 articles later I have completely forgotten what I had wanted to look up in the first place.

Years ago, I rebuilt the carburetor in my car. Google it, if you can get past cat videos. Anyway, no internet (yes, kiddies, there was NO Internet in the stone age) so I went to the library and got a MANUAL and used it to do the rebuild. I was talking to a friend who did the same and decided he didn’t need the manual. He would stall out at 60MPH because he put a spring and ball in upside down, LOL! Nowadays, I get professionals to do stuff. Actually cheaper in the long run.

I’m constantly amazed by the wealth of information on YouTube. I recently reversed the door hinges on my washer and dryer by watching a step by step YouTube video. I also got started playing the ukulele.

I already have a cat that does enough stupid stuff,so I don’t need to watch any YouTube videos.

Normally, if I’m looking for a fix for something (mostly computer-related), I tend to bypass YouTube. I just want someone to tell me what the fix is, I don’t have to watch them implementing the fix and watching it work. However, on a game fix I was looking for two days ago, I couldn’t find anything in the non-YouTube hits, so I went to the first hit on my search terms, which was a YouTube video… and found the fix…

You know it’s true. It’s happened to you. It’s happened to me (except that fortunately the kitchen sink wasn’t being held hostage by the Bad Kitties)….
