Instead of going to all this trouble, wouldn’t a few helpful stock tips do the trick here?

“Now, were did we keep those first-year-issue “redline” Hot Wheels we got for Christmas last year?

Much simpler and profitable to just have him buy some shares of Microsoft.

The comics weren’t rare when they were just published. So buy two copies – read one and preserve the other.

Leave it to an adult to ruin a childhood past time, just like soap box derbies.

Man, now I find myself wishing I hadn’t ever used up that last tube of Ipana toothpaste.

So no one finds it the least bit creepy that a grown man appears in a child’s bedroom and says he is from the future?

Assuming Monty was a kid in the 80’s or 90’s I doubt any of those comics are actually worth anything even if they’re in mint condition.

I commiserate with this…we had access to collections that literally filled rooms…large families had comic books every which way. And if you had older siblings, THEY had the comics from your dad (moms got the furniture and clothing)…I read first editions of Lone Ranger, Mickey Mouse, DC, Marvel, the historical ones….so many I cannot remember them all until I see them again…I was blessed but lost them all. I would like to read a bunch of them again…the X-Men in the living ship/creature was one of the most memorable story arcs…very ingenious. House of Seven Gables, I recall too. Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck….Spiderman’s beginning. Hulk’s creation…Swampthing vs Manthing…and Xray Two Way specs. In those days, Stan the Man answered your letters. I miss that.

He would better serve his purpose by appearing to his mother and telling her not to throw them out. Or put them in a damp garage. (Whether or not in plastic sleeves)

Monty (grown-up), go home! Leave Monty (child) alone! He will learn from his mistakes—very little. He will grow up to be YOU. If you tinker with the Timeline, chances are you will never exist….
