Ever notice in the movies when two guys are fighting over a knife, of all the ten thousand possibilities as to what could happen, the bad guy always gets killed by being forced to stab himself. Now I’m not saying that isn’t one of the remote possibilities, but…every time?

Specifically, a dull knife is more dangerous when cutting food in the kitchen. Since it’s dull, it requires more force to cut, which reduces your control of the blade and increases the chances of an accident.

Knife Safety Rule #1 (which I learned in the Boy Scouts): Hold the object to be peeled or sharpened close to you and slice away from yourself!

Nice lump, Monty! I guess you’ve got to go into Concussion Protocol now, just in case.

So much for the Dull Knife Act. Or should that be dull Knife Act? [Caps matter!]
