I had a friend that would stock up on candy on what he called “Cheap candy days!”……day after Halloween, day after Christmas, day after Valentines….You get it.
I like candy (especially chocolate with nuts), but I know it’s bad for me, so by the end of the night, when the hordes of teenagers start coming around, I tell them “just take a big handful”. They don’t need much encouragement, and pretty soon all the tempting treats are gone and I can go back inside and turn off the light.

Who else just sees Halloween as an excuse to eat candy?

The tricky one was doling out peanuts from the Payday bars. Kept sticking to my fingers.

I don’t get any trick or treaters now, but if I did, I’d only buy the candy I DON’T like. Then there’s no temptation.

I hope he didn’t lick the chocolate off of the peanuts before handing them out! :)

One year I ran out of candy and gave out unfrozen freezer pops in the plastic tubes. The kids thought they were great.
