After the power outage lasts a while, it is not so much being in the dark, it is the lack of A/C, no internet and no way to charge your electronic devices. :-(

I always have the comforting beeping of my computer battery backup to soothe me. :)
I remember one time I was listening to a classic rock station on the radio when a storm hit.
The station was playing “Boom Boom (Out Go The Lights)” when a crack of lightning knocked the power out.
The time to worry is when you hear the movie come back on…but the lights don’t.
