If this was Law & Order, police detectives could find the crooks just by questioning the people at First National; back when this strip was made, however, it appears that people relied a lot more on uniformed officers running around with guns.

Holly bleeep, those guys had Tommy Sub-Machine guns. Good things calmed down from then.

These days it takes an average of three hours to get a cop to come out. They’re too busy writing tickets for jay walking.
