Shoe Ration Coupon? Wow, they certainly were in great depression when they wrote this one.

10 bucks could get ou from Alaska to San Fransico….

That would make it the war years circa 1942 1945 or so, nothing like the latest news.

As for the compass, there’s GPS now. But you may want to stick with the compass. Why? It won’t nag you like a GSP would.

Tell me about it; I made the mistake of buying a GPS on Craigslist….

“”No Moron, I said turn right, turn RIGHT! Agh! That’s it….you missed the turn! Why don’t you ever listen to me, huh? 50,million drivers on the road and I get bought by Charlie Jerkhead. And when are you gonna wash this heap?”

When America needed to ration gas in the War, I doubt there were too many letters to the editors. Let’s ration it again and give those editors something to print.. “Oh, I’m selfish enough to live 50 miles from my job>” “Oh, I would car pool but I like my independence.” “Oh, I’d ride the bus but people smell.”” Oh, I have to drive my six fat kids four blocks to Burgerdoodle.”” Oh, we have three cars so I can go to work, my wife to the Environment Club, and our son John is active in the young Democrats.” “Oh I’m green, See the Sierra Club sticker on mu Caddy?”

Jeff must have misread the compass at some point; to go straight north to Alaska, he would’ve had to walk through the ocean. Of course, Jeff might actually do that.

I still have my WWII ration stamps. I don’t have one for shoes, though. Mebby that’s cause we wore moccisins.

I have some left-over books of ration stamps, plus some of those little red cardboard circle ration “chits”, from the 40s.
