Is my 73 year old memory playing tricks on me? I seem to remember a series of “Mutt & Jeff” movies in the late 40s or so. I think Leon Earl played Jeff.
I think the delay was caused by a drunken dog at the controls; it happens every Hound Grog Day.

“Prof. Moe”? I didn’t know he was still alive. What about Larry and Curly?
Wordman: Are you thinking of the Joe Palooka movies in the 1940’s which starred Leon Errol? The Palooka comic was written by Ham Fisher while Bud Fisher created Mutt and Jeff. The only M and J movies I could find were a bunch of animated shorts back in the teens and twenties.

I don’t know but Mutt & Jeff is one of my all time favorites, and I’ve missed it.
