Arye, I have been in situations where there is only one mouse. Notably, when a new building was put up in an undeveloped area, sometimes one field mouse will go inside looking for shelter and get trapped. BTW, the absolute best bait for a mouse trap? 1/2 of a Jelly Bean. It’s sticky enough so that they have to tug at it and thus set off the trap and having only half releases the sweet scent to attract them.

I hate to tell them, but there’s no such thing as “one” mouse. Mice NEED to live in communities of extended families.
