Many nights I had to park in the space my neighbours’ left. It took a while but I usually got my Dodge Omni into it. There was often plenty of space on the other side of the street – because the street sweepers were doing that side the next day. Sorry but I don’t get up that early. Some nights I had to just park on the other side. That happened often enough that I just kept a file labelled “City Taxes.”

Help him out, Jeff—grab the side of the car and pull it into the space.

All you need is an old VW beetle and four crazy teenagers—we did it in NYC many decades ago.

I think it was the movie Solid Gold Cadillac that featured a modified Caddy that could move sideways into a parking spot.

Great if a car could move sideways. A parker’s dream.
