thanks, VB for Liberace…..I grew up watching his show. I think that is where I learned to love Classical music, Boogie Woogie, and Rock & Roll. Oh wait, that was the Dick Clark Show.

Liberace was a staple in this Polish household for years!

    Thanks for the memory!

It wasn’t only the Grandmas that loved Liberace. I saw one of his shows when I was in my 20’s. His showmanship and talent were unbelievable. I think the thing I always liked about him is that he seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. He had that perpetual smile, even when he was deep in concentration over some complicated piece of music.

Jan, when I was about 12, we were “priviledged” to be invited over to Lee’s house (when he was away, of course) by my Uncle who was a friend. In his backyard, he had a swimming pool in the shape of a piano!!!!!! I actually got to swim in Liberace’s pool……..Woo Hoo!!!!

    Good morning, 2nd Shifters…..

Slim….love your avatar! Brilliant color on those cactus flowers!

We’ve had so much cloud cover and thundershowers that we haven’t been able to watch the stars at night. The big summer meteor shower peaks on Thursday night (12th), and we have only seen one or two meteorites previous to this. You should be able to see TONS due to the new moon and very dark sky.

On the brighter side, because of all the cloud cover and evening thundershowers, we have not been threatened by wild fires!!!! Hurray!
