It got all the way down to 51 this morning, after a nice high of 83 yesterday. Another wildfire started up around noon yesterday about 10 miles west of us. Unfortunately, the smoke blew towards us. Fortunately, the wind changed and it’s clear this morning..Saw the footage about the wildfires in Texas…….anywhere close to you david?
Good morning, again all.Temperture yesterday only 94. First day in weeks that it wasn’t over a hundred. Had a week or so of 107-108 a while back. Nice to have it cooling off?
Watched a movie on TCM this morning. Had some interesting actors who have now (or previously) become famous..They include:- actor became Steve Canyon- actor played a pointy eared alien- actor’s role had him wearing a ’coonskin hat- actor was a gangster who sang and danced in a musical- actor was a famous Santa Claus- actor went on to become a western hero.NAME THAT MOVIENAME THOSE ACTORS
Called my cousin in Central Texas, wife’s cousin actually. He and his wife are OK but watching the situation very closely. His in-laws, however lost everything they owned. Two houses, two trucks, complete with 2 full collections of plumber’s tools. Everyone is camped out at my cousin’s house waiting for it all to be over.

Morning, Vagabonds.
Labor Day is over. It felt good to have the day off, even though I did so miserably on the golf course.

Good Afternoon Everyone.
- UNK- Leonard Nimoy - Fess Parker- James Cagney- Edmund Gwenn (he is my favorite Santa)- Clint Eastwood
Those are my best guesses. Can’t think what the movie might be. I will be watching for the correct answers. ;)

ML: I agree that the best ribs are fixed at home and at a much more reasonable cost, Sounds like you had a great BBQ.
