Yesterday we had about an inch of snow but mainly on the grass, cars and my street. You drive to the start of my street and the snow ends and all the other streets are just wet. The long range forecast is for a major storm on Sun. of about 12 inches. I’ll believe it when I see it. Going to be around freezing today but sunny. Only have to go to one place today thank God.All have a good day.
Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday I tread water in my pool for 1 hour but I didn’t get any of my errands done. I also received a nice email from a first cousin who I haven’t heard from in 40 years with new genealogical information. I’m halfway through “From Beirut to Jerusalem,” by Tom Friedman.
Morning, Vagabonds. I didn’t get picked for the jury. Somehow being rejected didn’t hurt my feelings at all. I’ve been summoned for jury duty about five times now, including Grand Jury, but have never served.
I’m reading a fascinating book, “Wyatt Earp, the Life Behind the Legend,” by Casey Tefertiller. Just when you think you know all there is to know about the gunfight at the OK Corral, an expert comes along. I’ve seen every movie you can name on the subject and can usually spot the historical inaccuracies, but Teffertiller has researched it up, down, and sideways. There’s a whole lot more to this story than just a 30 second shoot-out.
Good morning Vagabonds..Haven’t seen the sun yet, but our forecast is similar to woodworker’s..You know woodworker, it sometimes seems like there are blue skies, then I get into Albany and it’s raining, so I know what you mean. :-).Rita, we feed the birds here. My favorite is the Chick-a-dee, their cheerful little voices seem to warm up a cold day.I think they’er beginning to know it’s me when I go outside and say “Hi guys”..Have fun..ttfn
The weather is warming up here a bit, too. It got all the way up to 48 yesterday instead of 43 as it has been for several days. Overnight lows still below freezing, but not below 20 anymore.
We have almost all of the Christmas decorations up. Still need to set up the train. The cats love all the new stuff in the house to play with.
Got back from a wonderful early Christmas in West Ga.with my granddaughter and great granddaughter for four days at my oldest son & daughter in laws place.
Haven’t even finished unpacking. Have to go grocery shopping this aft. and the get caught up on E-mails andmy latest novel.
