Good morning Vagabonds.Having a rainy night, not too heavy. Another mild day today. Helping to pack the snow down so it isn’t so high. You can see cars in the street as you back out of your driveway. The street isn’t any wider but being a dead end there isn’t a lot of traffic.

Another day of swimming for over an hour – it doesn’t seem to help me lose my excess weight.

Howdy Vagabonds..Yesterday got up around 46 a fine day for the sugar makers, and it’s already in the mid 30s..With the warm weather comes ice jams on the rivers making for high water and flooding in places.Nothing to worry about, dosen’t get that bad most of the time.Hardwick, just 15 – 20 miles down the road had a bad ice jam a way back when I was a kid. It’s just a pert of spring..Happy Spring..ttfn

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Mark, thanks for your posting yesterday afternoon! It was a very clear capsule of how the Maple runs! How fascinating!

Our big river, the Missouri never froze through this year. Other rivers froze, but the Mighty Mo just froze at the banks, and shady areas. It wasn’t cold enough, long enough.

Well, this is crunch time…………………..a little over a week, and our NC family is coming out. The girls will be on spring break, even though they have missed 8 days of school during this last siege of snow. So……..it’s time to spruce up the house, air out the quilts from the two guest bedrooms, run the rug shampooer, and all that good stuff I’ve been putting off until Spring Cleaning.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Not much happening here in the desert. Temps hover around 80 during the day and 55 at night. Folks are saying that we will have an unusually hot summer because of the early spring. Thank heavens for air conditioning!
