    Morning, Village!

    .

We’ll be conferring the Royal Arch Degree today. This is one of the finest degrees in masonry and will take most of the day.

    Hellew Vagabonds

It’s COLD here this AM, 8 below. Mt. Washington over in NH was 33 below with a windchill of 84 below. (lets go hiking) (O_O)

I’d stay in but I gotta go get the groceries then I’ll huddle next to the stove.

Keep warm everyone and keep safe. ;-)

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

Well, it’s only 21 here, and that promised 3rd wave of snow missed us yesterday. Hurray! It sounds like Old Man Winter is still in Vermont and NH! We’ll join you for your hike, Mark…………in about 3 months!

My plans for yesterday were side tracked because we needed to consider where and how we were planning to drive to Raleigh for our oldest granddaughter’s high school graduation. I know Jack wanted to visit the newly remodeled Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson (Dayton), so we had to think about that. So, with map in hand, and the Google Maps for fine tuning the distances, I think we have the first part of the trip planned. But, that isn’t until June, and we have a baby to prepare for next month! So, we checked out and made reservations for that, too.

So, early Monday morning, Jack has to go in for a routine Colonoscopy and the stomach one (don’t remember the name of that one). He’s had some problems, so the doctor wants to send a camera down his throat as well. Please put him on your prayer list, my Friends.

Maybe today I’ll be able to work on my computer spreadsheets.

    Happy Trails

    Good morning, Vagabonds

It’s the second Saturday of the month so that means a Ladies to Ladies Fellowship meeting. For a wonder I decided not to make deviled eggs this time. I’m making a pasta salad instead. Today we will be working on a craft project making rosebuds for the Christmas tea.

Rita, speaking of spreadsheets, I made one for our RV hunt. We did that the last time, and I modified the old one. It has a place to rate things like cupboard space, comfyness of a couch or counter space in the galley. I have already filled it out based on what I saw on Thursday, and it is showing us a trend of what we don’t like in some of the units I thought we might like. One of the dealerships has a show next weekend, so Michael and I can see what’s available. This is going to be fun!

Our high today should be around 80. Lovin’ it.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    I’m baaack.

I saw a video on Facebook from the Mt. Washington Observatory of a fellow trying to walk against the 110 mph wind on top of the mountain this morning.

Interesting world we live on ain’t it.

    Good morning Vagabonds

Still cold -2 on our thermometer, no wind to speak of right now. A nor’easter is bound our way, yesterday they were not sure of the storm track but then the system was still off the Washington state coast. Talk about an early warning.

The sap ain’t running right now, it needs to warm up a little.

    Have a wonerful day all.

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

Wow, it sure is early! I don’t want to appear so negative………but…………I DO NOT like daylight savings time! I think I’ll just continue on in regular standard time. I don’t see any problem with that, right?

Anyway, it isn’t very cold today. It’s actually 39 right now, and the high yesterday was 46. If it wasn’t for the light wind, it would have been downright balmy. Our NC kids are getting snow right now. WooHoo!

Jan, are there any wildflowers in bloom yet? The poppy fields over in Lancaster should be really vibrant this year. I love the desert in bloom. I’m afraid the start of our wild flower season is still about 2 months away.

    Happy Trails

Good afternoon, Vagabonds (ET – DST),

Rita, I agree about DST…I don’t like the disruption. I understand that states can opt out of DST and stay on “standard time.” Hawaii and Arizona don’t do the DST thing.

Our tabebuia trees (aka trumpet trees) are now starting to bloom here…mostly “yellow tabs” but there are also some pink tabs. The tabebuia trees herald spring here in So. Fla., and later on the Royal Poinciana trees will herald summer with a profusion of scarlet flowers. I have never seen a desert in bloom, but it must be lovely.

We had some showers overnight, but right now it’s mostly sunny & 80 degrees. fif

    Good morning, Vagabonds

No, Rita. No blooms yet, but there are buds everywhere. Florchi, there are several websites to check out the desert blooming wildflowers. The California Poppy Reserve’s own site doesn’t have a lot of photos, but I have seen the elsewhere. I’ve been to the Reserve a few times, and it can be spectacular. Interestingly enough, the areas immediately outside the Reserve itself usually have more poppies than inside the boundaries.

Off on an RV hunt today. What fun!

    Everyone have a blessed Sunday.
