76 Deg. At 5 in the morning in southeast Texas with no rain activity anywhere nearby.
I’m preaching tomorrow morning at a little town called Hardin. It was founded by relatives of John Wesley Hardin and was often visited by the famous outlaw.
The day begins cool in the upper 60s but expected to see 81 (that’s Burlington of course).
We have a special guest in VT this weekend. The blue and white plain was shown on TV as it glided into Burlington International Airport over Camel’s Hump. The plain rolled to a stop at the Vermont Air National Guard hangers and soon Mike Pence USVP got out and headed for a quiet get away in the Green Mountains. A hearty welcome Mr. Pence.
Same as Arthur, I’m headed out soon for grocery shopping and get back home again for quiet time. (^.^)
Today isn’t even supposed to get up to 70 in Freeport. We are planning to spend some time with our nephew at another campground near the beach. It doesn’t sound like a good day for the beach. The forecasts in Las Vegas are still in the high 90’s, low 100’s. Here’s hoping that another month cools things down a bit.
We took our niece Patty and her husband Matt out to dinner last night at a Japanese restaurant. Then we went back to their place and played Phase 10. It’s been a while since we played with other folks, and we had a blast. We sure laughed a lot.
Our oldest nephew Robert will be here this morning to do a much-needed oil change in the RV for us. It’s past due and we have 2500 miles to travel over the next few weeks.
Ever since the smoke pattern has moved, we even see the stars much more clearly. What a treat to see the night sky without light pollution. Absolutely incredible.
I read in the Farmer’s Almanac that we’re in for a teeth chattering cold winter with lots of snow. Even you folks in Texas, David, should be colder.
Nothing much planned today. It’s 44 right now, and probably will be a repeat of yesterday’s 78. Other than tending to our garden for me, and cutting firewood for My Lumberjack, we have a simple day planned.

Good morning Vagabonds.
Today is going to be another cool day with temp in mid 70’s before returning to the 90’s on Mon.
Going to do some food shopping this morning and then going to church at 4 p.m.
Not too busy a day.
Hope everyone has a pleasant day.
