    Good morning Vagabonds

It’s the calm after the storm this morning. We got our teeth rattled last night by T-storms, a tree came down on Irasburg common and put our lights out. They came back on about 10 and I went to bed with my CPAP, can’t sleep laying down without it.

Right after a small parade, we had a yummy chicken BBQ yesterday. While we ate we listened to a really good bluegrass band.

As Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer, Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer. The leaves will begin to turn soon (sigh) pretty though.

Alrighty then Vagabonds, have a wonerful day. ;-)

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Mark, a (very) few of the trees have started to turn. We saw two trees near the road yesterday that were orange instead of green. Michael commented: “There must have been a really small cold snap.”

All of the RV “tips” sites we have seen warned about travelling on a holiday. Yesterday we learned that we should have listened. What should have been a six hour day of driving turned into eight due to heavy Labor Day “going home” traffic. We split the driving duties and stop often enough to get a bit of exercise, but it was a long day.

We are in Schenectady, NY and will be here for two nights. It’s a very pretty campground, but we are in the middle in full sun. The forecast is for 86 and mostly cloudy, but there are no clouds visible from where I sit. We discovered that we are very near Cooperstown and may go over to the Baseball Hall of Fame today.

We had rain last night while we were watching “Brigadoon”. It lasted about a half hour and was hard enough to rinse off the dust. We had just come in from taking the cats out for exercise. The light breeze had made it perfect weather for being outside with them.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Morning, Village!

Port Arthur received over 6 inches of rain, Beaumont got about 3 and a half. A lot of houses got flooded and a bunch of cars as well. Where I live got less than an inch. Now we’re waiting to see what Gordon’s going to do.

Good Chilly (this is a recording) morning, Vagabonds,

Yep, 43 this a.m. and all the way up to 79 yesterday. What perfect weather.

We just booked our trip to see the autumn colors for early October. We try to explore a different part of the NW, and this year, we’ll finally get up to North Dakota, and then to the Headwaters of the Mississippi River in Minnesota. The river is very shallow and a short distance across. Here’s a webcam of it. Depending the time of day, you’ll see people walking across it. (We’ve seen the headwaters of the Missouri, the Ohio, and hopefully the Mississippi)
