It got down to 20 last night. Much nicer than 2!!!! It only got up to 29 yesterday. But we’re starting a small warming trend this next 7 days. What global warming?
We watched our favorite Halloween movie last night. The Disney ‘Legend of Sleepy Hallow’. Love the touch of Bing Crosby.
We had zero children last night. I guess it’s just not the right area for them. We did see a bunch of little kids dressed up in costume at the orchard yesterday. Michael really enjoyed himself talking to them and watching them.
The orchard itself was well past its prime for this season. They told us that some of the trees were over 100 years old and still producing well. It was their last day, and the pumpkin patch was open as well as the “concession” tent – cider donuts, kettle corn, caramel apples & coffee only. The cider donuts were pretty good with a thick cinnamon cream cheese icing. We also rode the hayride around the farm. That’s where we saw the huge pumpkin patch with a lot of pumpkins still out there. They also had a straw maze for kids. The stalks were a bit too short for my maze crazy 6’1" husband, though. We’ll have to try again next year a bit earlier in the season.
Today is another quiet day in the neighborhood. I’ve changed the perpetual calendar to November and it’s time to put up the Thanksgiving and harvest decorations. Perhaps I’ll spend some time at the storage unit today.
It’s 42 outside, on its way up to 66. That’s about 10 degrees warmer than yesterday.
Broken clouds, I don’t know who keeps braking them. Possible showers early and windy. Today’s high 46.
Then the lights went out due to being windy, no internet so instead I got ready to go to Newport for grocery shopping. I know this is suppose to happen on Saturday, but, we are having our church Charge Conference with the DS tomorrow and I can’t do the shopping and attend the meeting unless I do like Captain Kirk in “The Enemy Within.” episode of ST. ;-)
So with the internet restored I don’t have much else to say ’cept have a blessed day.ttfn

Good morning Vagabonds.Right now it is raining and very windy with temp at 58.
Will expect it to go into the mid 70’s this afternoon.
Will be going to the parish center for communion and to receive it and bring it to my home bound friend.
Then I will go and pick up my paper, go home and have my coffee.
Don’t plan on doing much to begin with but will play it by ear after that.
May you all have a holy day.
