A mix of sun and clouds this morning, my first look at thermometer showed 52. The forecast says increasing clouds and showers developing.
Well, my inability to come up with something constructive I’ll try a Dear Old Dad story.
As it was told to me. This was in his younger days (goes without saying) when his brother Lee called upon him help mow some hay, no tractor or horse drawn cutter bar but, a scythe. However Uncle Lee could not find his scythe so he borrowed one, an old heavy one. Well, dad got the job done at which time he asked what he should do the thing, my uncle told him to hang it up in that tree over there. Well, dad got to the tree and hung the borrowed scythe in the tree right next to Uncle Lee’s scythe. The good old days.
May your day be cheery and may God bless you in every way.
At 5 am it was 64 and raining and is expected to rain until after 7 am tomorrow. It looks like our high will not get above 66, which is great after temperatures in the 90’s.
Not much is happening today. Just washing a load of towels, making my grocery list for tomorrow and watching a few old movies on TCM. And it does feel like a good night for a simple chili dinner.
I couldn’t get in this morning under my JanC login, so I went back to my old one and modified it a bit. (And yes, L is my middle initial.) I don’t know what’s going on, but it kinda looks like GC is trying to force everyone pay for their service. I hope I’m wrong. We’ll see.
Prayer group was awesome as usual this morning. And yes, Mark, I did remember to ask for prayer for your friends and their ministry.
Afterward I dropped off the recycling and then hit Wally World for a few minutes. I’m looking for a reclining camping-style lounge chair to replace the one that Michael has. It’s becoming ragged along the edges that support the occupant’s weight and he’s afraid of falling through. No luck at Camping World or Walmart. I’ll try online next.
The rest of the day looks pretty much the same as the past few. Weather in the mid 90’s with moderate to high humidity (well high for us anyway).
The pool and spa are open finally. Just in time, too. The HOA meeting is tonight and we were concerned about a whole bunch of complaints about them being closed for two weeks.
