This morning the temp was trying hard to be 31 and a look out the window showed that the storm has not reached us, yet. The high is predicted to be 34, I treat that with healthy skepticism, I’d sooner think no more then 32. The snowblower stands ready just as I, do.
In some parts of VT they are expecting an inch an hour along the spine of the Green Mountains with final total of upward to 18”. We in the NEK are looking for 8 to 10”. Ain’t we lucky. (^.^)
We had a cold one last night. It got down to 33 and was only 36 when I looked at the outside thermometer. Considering that the skies are clear and there is no wind, it won’t stay there. We’re expecting a high of 51.
We went to one of the local buffets for dinner yesterday. They have a senior special from 2 to 4 every weekday and their food is pretty good. We got there about 3:15 and at 10 to 4, the lines were backed up out the door. They change from the lunch to the dinner menu at 4, so lots of folks get there in time to get the lunch special price but participate in the dinner spread.
I found some cute little ornaments in which you put your pet’s photo (a 2" circle) to hang on the tree. I had bought two for Smokey & Sting, but yesterday we decided to make one for all of our former pets. So I printed out 13 more photos of various dogs & cats and went back to Walmart for the frames. I even bought a few extras for future pets. They are so cute, and with 15 of them they will dominate the tree. Perhaps that is why I still don’t have that tree fully decorated.
It was fun going back and reliving some memories of those pets. Out of 15 there are 2 dogs and 13 cats, spread over 50 years. And I remembered 2 more cats and 1 dog of which I don’t have any photos.
Everyone have a safe and blessed day and a wonderful Christmas season.
