    Good morning good Vagabonds

    Are we there yet?

A bit chilly this morning but not as chilly as I expected at 13 mostly cloudy degrees. The forecast calls for a high of 14 with partly cloudy skies. Brrrrrrrrr.

The windows are fogged and I can’t see out very well but the top of the ridge looks kind of bright. The cold is supposed to be of short deration and the mercury will get back up there.

Well I haven’t done this in a while but I have this actor in mind and I want to see if my clues will help you figure who it is.

Movie 1. During WW1, the destinies of British officers Michael Andrews and John Stevenson seem intertwined on the battle front as much as on a more personal level.

Movie 2. In 19th century India, three British soldiers and a native waterbearer must stop a secret mass revival of the murderous Thuggee cult before it can rampage across the land.

Movie 3. During World War II, a man persuaded to live on an isolated island and spot aircraft finds himself responsible for a teacher and several students, all female.

Movie 4. A New York City advertising executive goes on the run after being mistaken for a government agent by a group of foreign spies, and falls for a woman whose loyalties he begins to doubt.

I didn’t name the movies because they might give it away, but, extra credit for the movie names. have fun. (^.^)

Have a great day Vagabonds, may God be your guide.

Number two is easy: Gunga Din. 1939 was a great year for the movies: Gone with the Wind, Wizard of Oz, Stagecoach, and my favorite, Wuthering Heights. Since Cary Grant is in Gunga Din that makes movie #4 North by Northwest, I think. Jan likes war movies so she will probably know the other two. Before realizing the same actor was in all four, I thought maybe #3 was “Heaven knows, Mr. Allison” with Robert Mitchum, but I didn’t remember any students, just the nun.

    Hi there Vagabonds

A clear cool morning and a temp of, ZZZZero. The forecast says: Sunshine and a few afternoon clouds, high 33. Whoo, getting hot.

I want to give Jan a chance to give her thoughts on the movies given before I reveal the answers but, I will say that there is only one actor I am looking for.

I’ll be back later but until then May the Lord have your six.

Good morning, Vagabonds (barely, it’s 11:53).

I’ve been having computer problems so I bought a new one. I haven’t gotten it all set up yet, but at least I have my browser and access to GoComics. I don’t like the microsoft browser, so I couldn’t wait to download Chrome.

I had a blast with Mike yesterday. He and I went to church for the bible studies and then we went shopping for a dining room table for him and this computer. We hit a couple of thrift stores where he bought books and then a couple of furniture stores that were still advertising Presidents Day sales. The first one had a nice table with 4 chairs that he really liked that was $800. They even offered him interest free financing. He decided to stop and think & pray about it before committing. So we went to the store where I got my dressers and they had a table that is a perfect fit for his dining area with 4 padded stools to go with it for $200. It was a “loss leader” designed to get folks into the store, but it is perfect for him.

We went to Best Buy to try to find a computer for me and I got an HP that is an “all in one”. Visibly, all it is is a monitor that has a keyboard and mouse in the drawer of my desk. (I went back to Walmart today and got a wireless keyboard & mouse set for it – Logitech of course). It clears up a lot of room on my desk because I don’t have the laptop keyboard in the way. I figure it will take me about 3 days to get everything downloaded and running the way I like it.

The Silver Knights lost both games to the Colorado Eagles this weekend. They are missing 3 of their best players, 1 injured and 2 called up to the Golden Knights. They aren’t doing so well at the moment, down below .500 for the first time this season.

Weatherwise, we’ve got wispy clouds and sunshine. We’re looking for 71 degrees today, same as yesterday. It’s 65 at the moment, but we don’t peak until around 4 so we’ll see.

    Everyone have a blessed Sunday.
