A quiet morning, it appears to be cloudy out there, currently it’s 34 degrees. There is a sizeable storm knocking on our door, rain turning to snow, maybe 12" in the mountains and Trace to 3" in lower elevations like ours, I hope. The ski arias will benefit with good spring skiing.
Well, I tried a couple weeks ago to name a few movies with one particular actor in common. I’ve picked woman this time, and she might not be the main actor in the picture:
Movie 1. “Bury Me Dead” (1947) Barbara Carlin attends her own funeral and returns home suspecting that her husband, Rod Carlin, had tried to do away with her, and is also (rightfully) curious as to just who was the woman buried under her name.
Movie 2. “She-Wolf of London” (1948) A young heiress finds evidence suggesting that at night she acts under the influence of a family curse and has begun committing ghastly murders in a nearby park.
Movie 3. “Sergeant York” (1941) A Tennessee farmer and marksman is drafted in World War I, and struggles with his pacifist inclinations before becoming one of the most celebrated war heroes. And I’m not looking for Gary Cooper. (^.^)
Movie 4. “A Christmas Carol” (1938) An elderly miser learns the error of his ways on Christmas Eve. Reginald Owen played Scrooge
The actress has been well known in movies and TV, can you tell me who she is. (^.^)
Many blessings Vagabonds and may the Lord be by your side.
We’re off to the hockey game in about 20 minutes so I’ll keep this short. Did anyone have any guesses about the Star Wars characters/actors from yesterday?
To reiterate, the actors who are still alive: Mark Hammill, Harrison Ford, James Earl Jones, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels. Those who have passed away: Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker and David Prowse. Who were the characters they each played in the 1977 original?
I did get a chance to try Cozy’s inverter yesterday. It was an interesting experience to have all my fat rolls hanging in the wrong direction, even my facial cheeks. I did find out that I haven’t been doing enough deep massage or stretching of my right arm muscles. The area around my underarm surgical scar was tight & uncomfortable.
It’s another beautiful day outside. It’s 64 right now and is forecast to reach 66. No complaints from this quarter.
We just got a big load of “Poor Man’s Fertilizer”. To make it clear poor man’s fertilizer is a spring snow storm that carries Nitrogen in it, Nature’s way of kick starting it’s self.
As I said we awoke to snow and that snow is going to continue in periods through out the day. Ain’t we lucky. Temp now is 33 and the high is suppose to be 38.
Guess I wasn’t as clever as I thought, cause you got it right, June Lockhart it is. I didn’t include her TV shows like “Lassie”, “Lost in Space” and “Petticoat Junction”, I felt they would give it away.
Welcome to Daylight Savings Time. Fortunately, most of my clocks reset themselves. The ones that don’t will keep me busy for a while today. My alarm clock is one of the good ones.
The hockey game was a lot of fun yesterday. They did a lot of things that were takes on Star Wars. I even bought a jersey that is a combination of SW and the Silver Knights. We lost, but the game was still exciting. In my opinion, our best players who had been sent up to the Golden Knights broke their rhythm with the Silver Knights. Now that they are back (the VGK just traded for some good players so they don’t need the guys from our team) they haven’t gotten the rhythm back yet. They play again on Tuesday, so we’ll see how well 2 days of practice help.
Off to church in a few minutes. I missed yesterday’s women’s meeting because it conflicted with our trip to the arena. Darn!
We’re supposed to get back up to 70 today, but it hasn’t even hit 50 yet. Sweater in the morning and short sleeves in the afternoon.
