The real problem with waiting for the spring thaw is that by then the lake will be liquid once again and Dudley will want you to wear some kind of floation device to run across the water on. Sterling, you ought to just learn to wear the skates, you’ll be better off.

It’d be easier for them to approach from the other side of the tree where there’s snow rather than a frozen pond - but a lot less fun for us!
