Nancy: I love to stand on furniture-- It makes me feel TALL.
Aunt Fritzi: NANCY---How dare you stand on the furniture? Go inside and stand in the corner.
Is there some connotation to “go inside” that’s changed in the last half century?
They look pretty inside at the start to me. Did it once refer to perhaps more private areas, apart from sitting rooms and the like which guests might see?
In the meantime – Is it ever disclosed why Nancy lives with her aunt? Where are her parents? And I assume Sluggo is an orphan living alone in that dilapidated shack.

Nancy sure is persistent, and she always has the last word.

Did anyone have a piece of furniture like that? Corner sofas maybe, but I do not recall ever seeing a corner console…
And, I’m certain that Fritz meant “inside” Nancy’s room… maybe this was an ancient typo that Ernie won’t escape after 60+ years, even in death…

Nancy’s a good height compared to her friends. I never really wanted to me taller than I am, or at least than I was before I started shrinking. Sigh.
