This looks like the aftermath of one of the many preliminary versions of the famous Phillipe Halsman / Salvador Dali collaboration, Dali Atomicus….
There were several re-stagings of this moment until Dali finally got one that satisfied his artistic vision. The assistants just had to keep thowing water and cats, Dali just had to keep jumping… I think the furniture was held up by hidden rods or some such. It was as if he were channeling the special effects and detail obsession of Stanley Kubrick.
1-doh de doh. 2-Oops 3-Ka-Crash. 4-NANCY: (Hmmm. 1: I saw Fritz step out of the shower the other day. 2: This stuff curls anything. 3: AHA! Now I know how and where she uses this stuff!) I oughta be a detective! What deductive reasoning! Such amazing logic! But why? That’s the real story here…
its sort of neat seeing things we don’t have anymore. Old enough to remember milk on the doorstep and the ice man. Late 40’s, Ernie was before my time but it triggers old memories
