Bushmiller may have been ahead of his time; now, car front ends look like they’re trying to imitate the smaller craft in Close Encounters of the Thurd Kind.
Help me out here, please. I’m having a senior moment. The car in panel 4 reminds me of a vintage cartoon car. I’ve searched Google images using “Mighty Mouse” and “Top Cat”, but they weren’t it. I think it was some cartoon animal that was like a James Bond, investigator kind of character.

Especially some of the current models, where the headlights look like they have angry eyebrows above them.
