Window sign reads: NOVELTY CO. STAGE MONEY
A dream I had when I was a kid—I’d find a penny on the ground. Oh boy! Then I’d find another! And another!! And another. And… after I’d had the dream a few times, I’d get to where I start recognizing it early on. Oh yeah, the coin dream.
The first time I walked around in the farmer’s field near here, I found a golf ball. And another. And another! I thought of the penny dream as I filled my pockets with golf balls, like a dozen of them or more. I took them home and gave them to my daughter, who could still be impressed by stuff like that then.
