In panel #4, I find it so fine to see a spiral of confusion above Nancy’s head and the bubbles coming up from the pond vertically.
‘Astonishment’ is usually conveyed with the seven lines above Nancy’s head, shown in panel #3 but I am not sure I understand the three plewds above the little kid’s head in panel #2.
