    A strip from a time when recycling wasn’t seen as a new idea but a continuation of the old idea of not wasting anything. Sadly, we became a throwaway society and the idea of recycling had to be introduced to us.

    Just save it until next winter when you can use it to stir hot chocolate. My daughter would do that. Last Christmas, her gramma gave her candy cane spoons. It was an awesome gift!

    Aren’t peppermint sticks hard candy to begin with? And really, when I’ve kept them around too long, they got kind of sticky and chewy.
