Nancy: What an awesome snow day--- Is there anything better than having a SNOW DAY off from school?
Sluggo: Only ONE thing that I know of--- A DOUBLE-HEADER.
Many examples in history of misplaced credit, often it’s due to who had the sharpest lawyer in a court case. Examples:Bell vs Elisha Gray on the telephoneDozens claim credit for TV, when in fact it evolved through many men and their improvements on the systems.FM was developed by two men – the courts gave the credit to one, but electrical engineers (and techs) throw the credit to the other.Engineers certified Beta as superior to VHS, but VHS had the better marketers.etc etc(Ever notice – no one takes credit for failures?)
For us kids growing up in Miami FL, “snow days” was something totally alien but “hurricane days” were a reality. Yes, we had to make them up at the end of the school year. It cut into summer vacation which made it a real bummer.
