Nancy: I never knew THAT! When Ben Franklin discovered elec-tricity, he had a metal key tied to his kite....GREAT! Now I have a title for my report. "How Ben unlocked the mystery".
I’ve read that in ancient China a similar method was used to execute criminals. They had a tall metal pole (copper?) in an open field near the prison. If a storm was coming up, a condemned man would be chained to it. Some got the death penalty, some escaped soaking wet. Until the next storm.

Wasn’t the key inside a glass jar?

A highly dangerous experiment, by the way – not recommended to be tried by the amateur.

Quite clever of Nancy, she shows creative talent like her Aunt Fritzi.
