Voice from TV: ZuZu's petals....ZuZu....There they are!! Bert! What do you know about that! MERRY CHRISTMAS! MERRY CHRISTMAS BEDFORD FALLS!
Man: Dadgum ALLERGIES...
Aunt Fritzi: Yeah. Me, too, honey.
As guys we’re s’posed to not cry @ movies so we fight back the tears. Then our dates accuse us of being insensitive, yet we’re wussy if we let them see us cry. We can’t win!
I get choked up at the end of the Poar Express when I watch it with my daughter. She is 10, perhaps the last year she will believe and the bell will stop ringing for her soon.
You know, I’ve never watched “It’s a Wonderful Life” except at the very end. I do get a little misty for “A Charlie Brown Christmas” because I’m reminded of watching it with my family when I was a grade schooler in the Sixties and my 86-year-old Mom is the only one left. I’m a baseball nut, but “Field of Dreams” has never gotten to me the way the reunion scenes in “A League of Their Own” does.
I watched it just last night, actually. I don’t usually cry at the scene they were watching, but there are others that get me.
They did a TV remake of “It’s a Wonderful Life” back in the 70s with Marlo Thomas in Jimmy Stewart’s role. It was called “It Happened One Christmas”. I saw it when I was a kid, long before I’d ever seen IAWL. Once I saw the original I realized I’d watched a remake a couple decades earlier.
What’s really bad is that he doesn’t even realize that she called him “honey”. At least not until he wakes up in the middle of the night and says " Huh?".
My older sister is a English major, 63 years of age, a movie fan.She says she has never seen “It’s A Wonderful Life”That’s kind of like someone saying they’ve never seen “The Wizard Of Oz.”
My favorite Christmas movie is “Holiday Affair”, withJanet Leigh & Robert Mitchem. It is very heart warming, sometimes sad, & sometimes very funny! I recommendit to everyone! MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!!

“It’s A Wonderful Life” DOES tend to cause allergies to flare up a lot.

Let’s remake It’s a Wonderful Life and ruin it for those who love the beloved Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.

My mother-in-law and father-in-law were named George and Mary Bailey. And their daughter, my wife is named Mary. It’s a Wonderful Life!

I actually knew someone who saw the Wizard for the first time at age 26. She had, however, read all the books.

And the end of ET.But why remake an already good movie if Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed aren’t in it?
