This is why a lot of charitable organizations donate lovable stuffed bears to first responders, so they have something to give to kids in crisis situations to comfort them…
These comics with Nancy and her teddy always make me miss the teddy bear I had when I was little. My mom made me let her throw him out. I was a big-time bed-wetter and he’d get soaked and she’d wash him, but eventually it got so bad that it didn’t matter how much she washed him, the stink wouldn’t go away. He was also coming apart at the seams and she kept trying to sew him back up, but then it seemed like the more she did that, the more he came apart. I always tell her I’m going to sue her for malpractice!
Reminds me of a light blue & white Teddy Bear I won for my girlfriend, now wife, at some tent show, way back when. She kept it around forever. Don’t know what she did with it. I’ll have to ask.
When my niece spent the night away from home for the first time, I told her that if she hugged the bear that had belonged to her Dad that he would feel the love from it. She said it really helped her not be quite so homesick.

And, you are a typical British-style Teddy. Keep on rockin’ that ‘stiff upper lip’ look!
Cheers!

We have several bears in our home. One sits on the back of my wife’s recliner and a small one beside her and one in our bed. Love em all!

I had a stuffed rabbit I held so much as a kid his fur was worn off.
