1. I find the actual intended humor to be wonderful. Nancy in her quest to be able to eat delicious treats, covers up parts of Aunt Fritzi’s signs to change their meaning to allow her to eat the treats.
2. I also find the artwork that Nancy has made to be “cute” and “happy” and I like that this is being depicted as the art Nancy has created.
3. But, even though I doubt OJ intended this… for me, the idea that Aunt Fritzi put up those signs of admonishment for Nancy… basically telling her to not eat any of the treats…. it just feels sad to me. Again, I do not believe that was Olivia’s intent… it is just an artifact of emotion it induced in me.
That said… I also like that one of the twins is hanging out with Nancy. Sadly, I forget the twins’ names again… so would someone again mention the “up braided” twins name (and the “down braided” twin as well? Eventually I will remember them.
And geez… I guess I had a hard night last night…. I cannot remember the name of Nancy’s other “newish” female friend either… the one with the bangs. If someone names the three of them again… I will work to commit them to memory better.
@Jarvis: Your screen name is correct. You are loopy. Someone who takes in a child and tries to keep that child eating what might be a healthy diet is not ‘selfish’, but ‘selfless’. A ‘selfish’ person wouldn’t care if the kid ate lard sprinkled with sugar 10 times a day…
Does Nancy have selfcontrol when it comes to food? It seems said control is lacking and her aunt needs reminders. Nancy found a creative way of dealing with it, but auntie isn’t happy. A humorous strip, but Nancy needs to watch her weight without becoming a slave to it.

Fritzi can solve the problem by not buying any desserts…

I guess she got her just desserts.

Fritzi was saving everything for herself, and, just in case she might have had a new boyfriend over.

There’s a reason that Nancy is overweight, and that reason is a selfish aunt.

I guess Fritzi 3.0 thinks hanging a sign around Nancy saying, Please Do Not Feed (ala, The P.J.s ) is tacky…

Hah! Come on, this is a GREAT gag.

Ha! Yesterday I noted that Fritzi looked like she was on a high carb diet, and so she is!

Now, caption the third panel if it was the other twin in it instead.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever laughed out loud at a webcomic. Well done.

This is probably the most ingenious example of misleadingly biased but technically factual reporting I’ve ever seen.
