Yesterday I mentioned on Nancy Classics how I wasn’t always a fan of Jaimes’ three-dimensional techniques and her sometime habit of drawing her characters at a distance from the viewer. It usually doesn’t interfere with the gag, but I have to say that it does here: it’s really not possible to appreciate the “spookiness” of the pictures in the hall if you can barely make them out in the first place.
I blew up the image but it didn’t enhance the detail much. But now I’m pretty sure the far picture on the left wall is of Nancy ‘s editor, previously seen in the August 19th "it’s too hot" strip, and which Rocko Jerome reports is in fact a good likeness of Jaimes’ actual editor.
Like the 4 for Bobby Orr, which betrays the fact that robot club teacher is a Bruins fan, the deflated football in the hallway may be a mocking reference to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots’ horror show.

Nice to see that Nancy is creeped out by her image too.

Oh Olivia! All those lines are supposed to meet at one vanishing point. I think the bad perspective is what REALLY has Nancy spooked!

So @Krokodil perhaps you should produce a nationally syndicated cartoon and show us all how to draw perspective correctly.

This one made me chuckle today.

I like a hallway like that, so when I’m walking to the pot late at night, I can pretend I’m really doing The Last Mile.

Its nice to have little artifacts one can speculate as to the there meaning beyond being that object as part of the gag.

I’d hardly call a picture of Fritzi scary.
