As usual, Nancy is 100% compliant and 100% unexpected outcome.
Also, inter alia, I think this might be the first time Teach’s hair band thing didn’t match her blouse. I’d suspect a colourist error, but I also suspect there is no colourist.
(Yes, ranking is held in reserve as I am not understanding yet.)
Today was somewhat confusing to me, as I do not quite understand the last panel. I am presuming the bottom 1/3 of the image is representing some sort of video game that is commonly recognized? I am so utterly not “into” video games (I played a little bit of “Pong” in the day and briefly fed some quarters into “Tron” and “Tempest” back when they first came out, but not much else.) that I am not fully realizing the reference.
Any detailed explanation from a “gamer” here would be appreciated.
I’m still operating on some kind of 80s framework. In my mind, a video game is one you put a quarter into, and the ones you play at home are computer games. Some games exist on both platforms.
To me, therefore, Nancy’s options seem like something from a computer game, where you’re typically spending more time having a somewhat narrative story, so there’s dialog that matters in some way.

And just like the dialogue trees in a RPG, no matter what you pick ultimately there’s only one outcome.

(_) Ha ha! You are “old”!
(_) That’s ridiculous. It was never like that.

I think I could skip reading Nancy and just go straight to the comments here – always more entertaining!
