Maybe not the fame she was hoping for, but as the saying goes, there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

Is this the first time we’ve seen Bushmillerian dotted sight lines in OJ Nancy?

    All you can eat….

I have a nephew who often went to a certain Asian buffet but only ate one thing. He’d load plate after plate with salt-and-pepper shrimp, only drink water, never leave a tip. The managers took to removing that item from the hot table after he’d taken one plate. They kept it in the kitchen till he left and claimed to have “run out” for the day.

He had figured out what was going on and was griping to anyone who would listen about “false advertising.” At least he did till he realized that pretty much everyone thought he was abusing the policy. After all there were dozens of other items still available. He could still eat all he could eat.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a photo of him in the back room.

I don’t know…can a kid get such a rap? Would her aunt let that happen? Did OJ get the idea for the gag from “Willy and Ethel?”

All-you-can-eat places have a nasty habit of dumping cheap cooking oil all over everything, because the oil fills you up faster so you eat less. One of the side effects is what all that oil does to your digestive system (and how quickly it can kick in).

Asian-themed buffets are tolerable, but lately I find that the Golden Corral sort of place depresses me. The Mos Eisley of US dining.

My photo used to hang in the local Dunkin’ Donuts. But, for different reasons.

I would have thought Sluggo was more the AYCE type.

    Ha! Very good!

I do not think we have met this lady before, have we? If I am mistaken in this regard, please let me know who she is and any backstory I may have forgotten.

In regards to All-You-Can-Eat Buffets… I tend to like them, but that is relative to what most resturaunts tend to serve….. because I tend to really avoid high fat food, or foods that are oily or fried…. and most resturants that are outside of the realm of “fine dining” tend to have a lot of high fat, oily or fried foods….. getting to go to an “All-You-Can-Eat” place at least allows me to eat a pleasantly large, robust salad. For me, no normal salad from a restaurant has enough vegetation to make it a meal…. and most non-salad bar salads load up on fatty things…. like a lot of cheese, bacon bits, dressings, etc. And, if you ask for those items to be removed, you get a small plate with a few leafs of lettuce and one slice of tomatoe and one of cucumber if you are lucky. At a salad bar, I can choose the healthier for me options and make a salad that is a meal.

I have one rule when I go to the buffets. No bread and no potatoes. I load up on the meat and desserts.

Her art? Her sport skills? Her successful blog (that we can’t see)? Her best skill (besides being the star of her own comic strip) is her self-promotional skills. : )
