Since 1973 I periodically play “Selling England By the Pound” on my good old Thorens record player . Never been tired to listening to it .

What he said is kind of a metaphor for not getting married. If I really love my lovey dovey soul mate, then instead of proposing marriage, I should stop seeing her – to keep her special in my heart as long as I can.

Poor Sluggo, Nancy doesn’t want her trombone skills to get rusty.

I grew up in a Gulf Coast time/place where neither air conditioners nor home heaters were used on nice days in fall or spring.

    Windows were kept open instead.

My neighbor joined the school band when she was in the sixth grade. She was good too… because she practiced diligently, almost daily, for the next six years.

    Oy.

The best songs are those that you listen to long enough to get bored with it, but then you rediscover it in a bit and still like it.

    Kinda like reading the archives.

So much for Plan C. The floor is open to suggestions.

At first I thought she was trying to figure out the 1812 overture hook by ear, getting it wrong, but keep playing it anyways. But it looks more like she’s doing Hot Cross Buns [semi]correctly. Both scenarios would be pretty irritating. When I’m trying to figure something out, it sound more right in my head because its triggering the memories some, but folks around are probably thinking “that’s a lot of that one note”.

I fear this is out of drawing, we should not see Fritzi’s legs under the table, but more sweater/shirt. Also, what is that table like thing behind her? There is white space under it…

I love Aunt Fritizi’s face. Jaimes can do a lot with deceptively simple artwork.

She’s playing “Hot Cross Buns” over and over, written in 4/2 time.

Ok, enough trombone practice, need to work on my tuba chops now. Then a half hour with the bass drum. Bagpipes will be are on Monday and Weds.
