rotts, I think Joe is referring to the programs on Nick@Nite and ABC Family; he is correct that there is no more whole-family programming on the broadcast networks.
Depending on your tastes, there are a lot of cable channels with interesting programs (IMO, the list should include TBS and SciFi but not FX), but good luck finding something parents can stand to watch with their kids…

Just the opposite - the only “family” programs are on the networks.
All the interesting programs are on TNT, FX, USA and AMC (not to mention HBO and Showtime).

Try The Middle on ABC Wednesday nights or Castle on ABC Monday nights, both are great shows. I watch them with my family, including a 10 year old.
