Funny, the only day I ran into fog in SF was my first trip in late October 2008 in the afternoon, where you could see only the tops of the GG Bridge. My subsequent visits, everything was clear street- and shore- wise.
The friend’s confusion tells me Petunia is even thinner than I thought. Rock-hard from the gym, however.
