It’s not just wage gap. The real estate market here is dominated by gay and lesbian couples. Both tend to have no children, freeing up useful money. A lot of the couples both work in high tech for big money, too. Both can beat your brains out in a house bidding fight. And it helps to be a very small ag town that’s an island of tolerance. Done wonders for the economy and amusements where there used to be a moribund business district.
