Jim Davis receives 2016 Inkpot Award at SDCC!
by GoComicsWe're ecstatic to report that Garfield creator Jim Davis was chosen to receive the prestigious Comic-Con International Inkpot Award at San Diego this year! According to the Comic-Con International website, the award is given to individuals "for their contributions to the worlds of comics, science fiction/fantasy, film, television, animation, and fandom services."
Considering Garfield is celebrating 38 years of syndication this year, we'd say the accolade is well-deserved. Congratulations, Jim!
