I enjoyed my history classes in school and in college, except for the Art History class…Dr. Hawkins was a really good guy, but the minutia of Carravagio’s light and brush stroke technique could put all but the hardiest of us nearly to sleep.
I chuckle about how I’m now (decades later) watching documentaries about the stuff I slept through in High School. I can replay the previous 10, 20, 30 seconds when my mind drifts. And am actually interested in the dates of events.
