The car companies around here will sometimes have a “push, pull, drag or tow” sale where even inoperable vehicles will be accepted for a trade in. Naturally the owner isn’t given much, but it would be a few dollars toward a working vehicle.
In California and possibly other states, you can get hundreds of dollars from the state just to get much older cars off the road. My 30-year-old Camry is worth $750 according to last year’s DMV offer.

If it had a better crash rating, he could sell it to a demo derby.

With your high profile, high paying job could buy a Porsche. Right Norm?

If I fill the gas tank on my car the expense has exceeded its value.

HA! Maybe charge people money to hit it with a sledgehammer. That’s a thing now, right?

I’ve gone to donating my last three or four cars, they get the proceeds of the sale, I get a tax write-off, and a junker off the road. Triple win.
