The police making a mistake? Who would have thought.

Don’t call me, I’ll call you! OY

You should give, because you never know when you might want to have a crime.

Speaking as a retired Police Sergeant, I encourage anyone not to donate to those calls, most are scams and you wind up on what I refer to as a “please call me again” list.

I do encourage everyone to thoughtfully consider making a small donation to a legitimate police charity. But please do so directly so that your money actually goes to the intended recipients. For example:

A. The National Fraternal Order of Police does not conduct telephone solicitations. However, some State and local FOP lodges do. If you have a question about a telephone call you received requesting that you make a donation to the FOP, please contact the local FOP lodge in your area or the FOP State Lodge in your state. (Italics mine)

You mean you didn’t fall for it… I mean, donate before?

You have the right to remain silent. And hang up.

That’s one way to get them to quit calling…maybe.
