Those who attack ideology are almost always blithely unaware of what ideologies they themselves actually operate under. This explains, for example, the mainstream media (and this cartoonist) who believe they are being neutral despite the overwhelming evidence of their Left-leaning bend.

Of course, the Right just makes it easier for the Left by corrupting what valid principles the Right still has left with endless compromises and sell-outs. This explains why it is a supposedly Right-leaning Bush government that is essentially nationalizing one industry after another beyond the wildest dreams of the modern American Left.

The problem is never ideology, only false ones or the unwillingness to find and stick with a true one.

I have to hand it to pschearer. He/she may be right wing, but without the vitriol and with decent writing and spelling. However, I’d like to remind you of the words so elegantly put by Stephen Colbert: “Reality has a well known liberal bias.”

That’s because reality is television. DUH!

Ideology is what you believe, Reality is what you live. If your reality can match your ideology, then you may be the first ever to make it work.

You all are very close. When you look at something try seeing the thing in extremes, from the most simplistic aspects to the most complex.

The environment inside and outside the cave can be seen as both political and economic.

When the caveman says this is not rain and these are not raindrops, you could take him literally.

I see this as a study in economic theory, laid down during the Ronald Reagan administration. And the liquid falling down on the caveman outside the cave is actually woolly mammoth urine, much like the cause and effect relationship seen in Reaganomics. The very rich acquire even more wealth, while the rest of us got urinated on.

I know that’s hard to swallow, but the difficult times we are experiencing now, both economic and militarily, have their primary foundation points set down during Ronald Reagan’s eight-year administration. These problems were further, acerbated by the twelve year terms of the Bush family.

I dont’ know about the politics ideology stuff, but the guy with the spear could be right all along. You’ll notice the “shower” appears to be very narrow in width, indicating it might not be rain, but just a brontotsaurus taking a leak above the cave. This gives rise to another ideological concept, that of the “peon”…

On my Web site, I have a couple of recurring neanderthal characters called Og and Thag. They will be featured in an article to be posted in about three weeks that deals with much the same subject matter as your cartoon:

“So…maybe we hunt now, yes?”

“Hunting good. When me have energy again, maybe me am go hunting.”

“Maybe we hunt…together?”

“What am you saying?”

“That we should…we should coordinate our hunting efforts so we am capture big game. We am feed tribe for many moons.”

“That am out of question.”

“But –”

“We hunt alone. All good things come out of individual effort. Anything that benefits whole group am…am…there am no word for it, but it am bad. It am very bad.”

“But, Thag, exactly how am individual effort benefit group?”

“It am trickle down to rest of member of group, Og. Everybody am know that! It am like summer rain dripping in cave.”

“Trickle down? Like summer rain? In cave?”

“Yes! One man kill mammoth, rest of tribe can live off mammoth leftovers. Uhh…okay, trickle down am not exactly right image for dead meat –”

“It am kind of gross.”

“Yes, but, you get idea.”

The ultimate point is that the neanderthal who sticks to his individualist ideology and refuses to hunt as part of a tribe dies out.

Great minds and fools, eh? But, you got there first, bleeep you.

Sorry. That was my first post at Go Comics. I didn’t realize that they bleeped the word darn…I mean, d@rn. That may have made my post seem angrier than it was actually meant to be.

DigitalFrog, You clearly get the idea I’m speaking of. However, it cannot be a brontotsaurus, they were extinct at the time of man’s appearance on the evolutionary calendar. Many believe that the woolly mammoth and early evolutionary man coexisted for a short time. And some of us wonder if Martin Short, is really human.

Now let me help you with your knowledge of political ideology. Reaganomics, also went by the name of trickle-down economics. Hence, the idea of giving something to the rich so they in turn would give something to the poor. In reality, this excelled the rate of change between rich and poor greatly. The rich got richer, and what trickle-down from the rich, was urine.

Now I know some of you could argue “hey, 1N10 this is only a cartoon.” But let me remind you that, statistically speaking, Mr. Miller represents Joe Friday. Now we have a proper segue to a previous Strange Brew.

You see kids if you’re going to try to dance in time, with the code, you must address the proper sequence of things.

You’re half right dcguys. Wiley wants us to laugh and also he wants to stir us up and promote discussion.

I’ve always fancied Wiley a bit after my own heart: a person more complex than a single label with some opinions that cross party lines depending on the subject matter. May he correct me if I’m far in the wrong.

I’d be more right wing myself except that I can barely conceive of aligning myself more with a party that embraces Ann Coulter and some of the other twats on Fox News as intelligent and well spoken individuals.
