Has anyone ever collected all the lint from a lint collector over the course of the year? That’s enough “stuff” to make a good ten individuals socks right there! That’s where they go!
I tend to save my lone socks as well, as I believe it’s going to show up in a folded towel or in the sheets, but rarely does that happen. Wiley’s answer is as good as any that I have been able to come up with.
As I recall, the church got rid of Limbo a few years back. I remember wondering where the souls who were in Limbo would go. Seems like that would leave them in limbo. See, souls can’t get to heaven out of Limbo. Purgatory, yes, Limbo no. So where did they go when they got rid of it. BTW, I have all tour socks. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them. I’m like the Underwear fairies on South Park. Step one is to collect all the socks…..Don’t know what step 2 is yet…
Limbo lower now… Lower now… How low can you go? Just had to feature this one on The Family Plot Blog: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die http://TheFamilyPlot.wordpress.com
One must assume that somewhere at sometime two different people have lost the same kind of sock at different points. So they must match them up in correct pairs, only no one told them that most of them don’t have a pair!
thebird55, ronaldmundy – I have your keys and pens. Pens are in my “Lost and Found” cupboard, keys in my desk drawer. Now if only I could find my pencils…
George Carlin had a little riff, talking about your stuff. He said, basically, all the stuff that you ever lost would be in heaven waiting for you. Car keys, homework, socks, even your wallet - but your money won’t be in there, it’s just like on Earth…

I thought socks were the larval form of all those coat hanges laying on the floor of the closet.

That’s why I never seem to lose socks - it’s just the white ones that get lost, and most of my socks are black.

Actually, socks lost from the dryer are transported to closets and attics where they are transmuted into wire clothes hangers.

The people sent to hell must be responsible for trying to match them all.

For some reason I only lose the left socks. I have twice as many right socks as I used to have.
Love it!

It’s weird though when those missing socks start re-appearing.
