This one made me laugh loudly enough for my boss to come into my office and ask, “What’s so funny?”—and then made HIM laugh all the way back to HIS office. Well done!

The hare was just being true to his family: “lagomorphs”, hanging back too long. The tortoise of course was too full of testudines testosterone to let “fur buns” win?

Sorry, I can’t resist. Another definition of turtle, this time from Encyclopedia Britannica:

turtle (order Testudines), any reptile with a body encased in a bony shell, including tortoises.
