There is a Starbucks just to the left, but they have the same rule too. What really hurts is that they have free wifi, but you left your devices at home.
Nabuquduriuzhur reminds me of the classic argument against Heaven: Do you really want to spend eternity with a bunch of self-righteous religious people who keep saying, “I told you so!” ?
From sundown on Wednesday, those of us in the Jewish faith entered the time called the Days of Awe. (The days between Rosh Hashanah — the Jewish New Year and beginning of the creation of the world, and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement when we ask forgiveness, as a group, for all we’ve done wrong.)-During this time period, the ancients held that the Book of Life was opened, and judgement took place. Charitable acts, kindness and true repentence could avert a serious consequence, but at the end of the Days of Awe, the Book of Life closes.-Since everyone here seems in a theologically philosophical mood today, let me offer a few ideas:-The belief in eternal life is one of the teachings of Judaism, but it’s eternal life for the soul, not the body.-Where does the soul ‘go’ after the body dies? The soul doesn’t really go to a place, but to a state of being, called ‘The World to Come’. And our experience in that World is based on how well we’ve done spiritually during our lives in bodies.-Just to confuse things more, eventually ‘The World to Come’ and ‘This World’ merge, and we are reunited with those we’ve lost. This is a state of existence called ‘Moshiach’, and that term was transliterated into the present day term ‘Messiah’.-Fascinating, no? Have a happy, healthy New Year, everyone…
@Daniel QuilpHelp me out here. I am trying to spread the rumor that the jihad leaders misinterpreted their writing and that it actually meant a 72 year old virgin.

Um, I’d rather not; I’ve seen statements asserting different numbers. Besides, It is not my desire to offend anyone by making fun of his or her beliefs.

Lewis: We’re born naked, and we die naked.
City Council member: People don’t die naked!
Lewis: You do if you set it up right.
